Tax-deferred Annuities

Tax-deferred annuities are a great way to save for retirement. With benefits like lower current taxes, no contribution limits, and diverse withdrawal options, a Tax-Deferred Annuity may be right for your investment strategy.

Simply put, an annuity is a contract between you and a life insurance company. Annuities offer systematic withdrawals, as well as lump sums or ongoing guaranteed payments. Money in an annuity grows tax-deferred until withdrawal. If you make a withdrawal before reaching age 59 1/2, you may be subject to a 10% federal tax penalty. There is no limit on the amount you can invest in annuities, giving you the freedom to invest as much as you wish in a tax-deferred environment.

Fixed Annuities

Fixed Annuities give you the assurance of knowing how much you'll earn. The issuing insurance company makes fixed dollar payments to you, guarantees your principal and interest on the contract, and also guarantees a minimum return on the amount that you invest.

Variable Annuities

Variable Annuities provide you with flexibility and choice, typically allowing you to select sub-accounts that invest in stocks, bonds or money market instruments. The insurance company guarantees a minimum total payment to you at the end of the accumulation stage.
