Step 1: Open a New Account

  • Use our Switch Kit Checklist to keep your finances in order during your transition. Keep track of outstanding check payments and upcoming automatic debits or credits to your account.
  • Use our list of common Online BillPay Merchants to begin gathering the information you will need to cancel payments from your previous account and schedule automatic deductions or payments from your new account.

Step 3: Close your old account(s)

Once your new account is activated with First National Bank, you can begin closing your old accounts(s). You will want to stop actively using your old account and make sure that all check payments and transactions have cleared. Contact your previous bank to withdraw any remaining funds and discuss account closing procedures.

You will be notified once your account setup is complete. After that, you can begin using your account immediately.
